A versatile, heat -seal resistant range of fully pigmented. HCF, flexo/gravure inks.

 

 

PROPERTIES             Contain no hydrocarbon solvents.

                                      Excellent adhesion to many films.

                                      Scratch resistance.

                                      Water/deep freeze resistance.

                                      Surface slip.

                             Low residual odour.

                             High heat-seal resistance.

                             Resistance to milk and fruit juices.

 

SUBSTRATES        Treated polythene and polypropylene-coated board.

                             Treated polypropylene and co-extruded.

                             Polypropylene.

                             Polyester (e.f Melinex 800).

                             Paper and board.

                             Coated and uncoated label papers.

                             Not recommended for PVDC coated films.

 

THINNERS             Flexographic

                             Normal              - 4 parts IMS99:1 part ethyl acetate.

                                                                             or N-propy acetate.

                             Retarder            - N-propanol.

 

                             Gravure

                             Normal              - 3 parts IMS99:2 parts ethyl acetate.

 

DRYING                 Solvent evaporation, assisted by forced (warm) air flow.

 

STEREOS               Natural rubber, synthetic rubber and certain photopolymer plates.

 

GENERAL               Hilton HR inks are particularly recommended for food wrappers

INFORMATION       which are required to be heat-seal.

 

HEALTH AND         Hilton HR inks are commercially lead-free and cadmium free.
